Made in Lisbon, Colored by Lisbon

I walk the same streets every day. And every day something catches me, a green door that has seen so much time, that holds so many stories. Walls of tiles everywhere, beauty you can't stop looking at. A building the color of an orange left in the sun too long.

Every day I just look, and appreciate.

Later, in the studio, I mix a glaze and something from that morning comes back. Not deliberately. I'm not trying to make a Lisbon collection. It just ends up that way, because I live here, and the city gets into everything.

The Mosca green. The Azoia blue. The Penha red. The Bloom orange. They didn't come from a mood board. They came from all the tones and textures the city has to offer.

That's what handmade means to me, not just the hands, but the place.
